When you meet a boy who glues a rainbow flag to his butt and runs around screaming about misunderstood kitten children yelling “Oklahoma!” just when it gets most quiet throughout the house plus he wants you to tell him a story but stops you every paragraph to remind you that peanut people are hilarious and also cause an allergic reaction while he puts on the various hats he has collected and does impressions of British celebrities while auditioning for a gameshow or two or thirty or whenever he feels like stopping but only if he can tell you about the time the cartoon people ran up thirteen flights of stairs which is very unlucky until they built another floor to even things out since you really should be careful about these things until your friend comes over and tries to skip all the way to the top with a jump rope she found in the bottom of the school yard equipment box along with about 7 million paperclips and a lizard that tried to get inside the girls bathroom of all places and the principal and six janitors had to scare it away while the theme music from Batty Rattatat and the Cat Tones played on the loudspeaker which happens to be his favorite tune because it’s just a fun silly song
then you have met Tyler the Weird
and he has a hat made of that string that comes from aerosol cans.
